Unlikely hub: Who knew that Provo, Utah, has a thriving music scene? Neon Trees front man Tyler Glenn was pleasantly surprised when he followed his childhood pal, guitarist Chris Allen, there from their hometown of Marietta, Calif. "We grew up playing music together and when Chris decided to go to school out there, I decided to go with him. I fell in love with the Utah scene," he says. "It's a surprisingly great art scene and there's a friendly competition among bands that helped build our backbone. All of (the band members) are from different places, but met in Utah." "
